Confirm the authoritative zone and record name
A record created in an inactive DNS dashboard will not be visible on the public internet. Check which nameservers are delegated at the registrar, then edit the zone served by those nameservers.
Verification instructions may specify a label such as _verify or a full hostname. DNS interfaces differ in whether the domain suffix is appended automatically, so inspect the resulting fully qualified name for accidental duplication or omission.
Check the value and allow time for caches
Compare the TXT response from an authoritative server with the exact value supplied by the verification service. Watch for copied whitespace, missing characters, or quotes that the interface may add or remove.
After confirming the authoritative answer, allow recursive resolvers and the service's own checks time to refresh. If it still fails, use the service's displayed expected name and value to compare each part rather than adding multiple speculative records.
