Domains
Find answers about Domains, from setup to everyday use.
Which domain extensions can I buy?
Search the registrar's live catalog of extensions currently offered for registration. Availability and eligibility vary by extension; an extension with registry requirements we cannot support will not proceed to checkout.
Are availability and prices live?
Yes. IaGenify checks availability and retrieves the current first-year and annual renewal prices for the domain you search. Availability and quotes can change before checkout, so the final quote is checked again before payment.
What will I pay?
The checkout shows the first registration period's price. The annual renewal price is shown before you pay, and applicable taxes are calculated at checkout. Domain registration is a separate purchase from your IaGenify plan.
What happens after I pay?
IaGenify submits the registration to the registrar. After confirmation, it creates the domain's Cloudflare DNS zone, configures the registrar nameservers, and attaches the domain to the purchasing account. You can follow the order status in your account.
Will the domain be online immediately?
Registration and DNS onboarding are automatic, but DNS changes take time to propagate across the internet. The domain page shows the current onboarding status while this completes.
Can I connect a domain I already own?
Yes. You can still connect an existing domain and manage its DNS in IaGenify. Its registration and renewal remain with your current registrar unless you separately transfer it.
Can changing nameservers interrupt my existing services?
It can if the new DNS zone is missing records your website or mail already uses; review and recreate needed records before switching.
What is the difference between a domain and a DNS zone?
A domain is the registered name; its DNS zone is the set of records that directs services such as a website and email.
How do I redirect visitors from www to my main domain?
Create a redirect rule from the www hostname to the preferred address, and verify that the source hostname is configured to receive the traffic.
What should I check before changing a domain's nameservers?
Confirm the destination DNS zone is ready and copy any records the current provider still serves before switching nameservers.
Can a subdomain have its own DNS records?
Yes. DNS records can be created for a subdomain so it can point to a service independently of the root domain.
Why can a DNS change appear on some networks before others?
Resolvers and devices may cache earlier DNS answers for a period, so different users can see the old or new record at different times during a change.
