How can I tell whether a deployment is serving the domain I expect?

Check the project's domain association and deployment status, then visit the exact hostname. A successful build alone does not confirm that a particular domain is attached to that project.

Hosting

Trace the hostname to its project

Start with the exact address visitors use, including the root name, www, or a subdomain. Confirm that the hostname appears in the intended project's domain list and that DNS points toward the configured hosting destination. Similar names can be attached separately, so validate each one.

Review deployment history and identify the healthy deployment currently serving the project. If the domain is associated with another project, a successful release here may not change what visitors see. Check for duplicate or stale associations before changing DNS.

Verify what a visitor receives

Open the exact hostname in a browser and check the expected page, certificate, and redirect behavior. Test the canonical address and any alternate hostname visitors may use. A cached page can mislead, so try a fresh session or another network when results conflict with the deployment status.

If the wrong site appears, record the hostname, project, deployment identifier, and DNS target. Change one association at a time and retest. This links each adjustment to its effect and helps avoid pointing a live domain at an unrelated project while troubleshooting.
