Build in the project environment
A static deployment serves prebuilt public files. Run the framework's build command where the source and its dependencies are available, and fix any build errors there. Upload the resulting directory, such as `dist`, `out`, or the directory your framework documents for static output, rather than expecting the hosting service to install packages or compile source files.
The directory you deploy should contain the ready-to-serve site at its root. For a static site, confirm that `index.html` is at the top level and that its asset paths match the output structure. If you upload a parent folder that contains the build directory, the site may have an extra path layer and the host may not find the entry file.
Verify the published output
Before deployment, inspect the generated files and make sure environment secrets or development-only files are not needed by the public site. IaGenify drops `.env` files, `.git/`, `node_modules/`, and `.DS_Store`; do not rely on those being present after publishing. Build-time configuration that the browser needs must be represented safely in the generated public files.
After deployment, open the public address and test the root page and important assets. If the build succeeded locally but the site is blank or returns 404, check which directory was uploaded and whether the output contains the expected entry point. Rebuild after source changes, then deploy the new output; publishing the same stale directory will not compile your latest code.
