A mode change affects later tool calls
The mode controls which actions the agent may perform automatically and which require approval. When you change it during a run, IaGenify updates the parent agent and its active child agents. A tool call that already started is not retroactively changed; the new rule applies when the agent chooses its next action.
Use this control when the task scope changes or you realize the agent should ask before carrying out a certain kind of operation. For example, switching to a more restrictive mode can require approval for later changes. Review the available mode descriptions in the product before choosing; do not assume every mode blocks the same tools.
Check the action at the approval point
A mode change does not replace reviewing the target and effect of a proposed action. If an action asks for approval, inspect the exact file, record, message, or service it will affect before allowing it. This is especially important when the agent has already gathered context under a broader setting.
If you need to stop all work immediately, use the stop control instead of relying on a mode change. A mode change guides future tool calls, while stopping ends the run and signals child agents to stop. After changing modes, check that the run continues under the intended setting and that its report reflects any refused action.
