# What happens when it is full?
When the shared pool is full, a write is rejected rather than quietly discarded.

Object Storage

## What this means in practice
Incoming mail is deferred so the sending system can retry.
To restore room, review the objects you still need, remove obsolete files, or buy additional capacity by the gigabyte.
## Practical guidance
When the shared storage pool is full, a write is rejected instead of being silently discarded. Incoming mail is deferred so the sending server can retry delivery later. This behavior protects data integrity, but it means you should restore capacity promptly if you expect new files or mail to arrive.
Review the storage usage, remove objects that are no longer needed, or purchase additional capacity by the gigabyte. After making room, check whether the deferred sender retries automatically or whether the message needs to be sent again. For application writes, rerun the operation after confirming that capacity is available. Because mail, files, hosting content, and contact photos share the pool, inspect all of them when looking for what is consuming space.
