# What happens after I pay?
A successful payment starts a sequence of registrar and DNS steps; it does not mean the domain is already ready to serve traffic.

## What this means in practice
Follow the order status in your account while registration is confirmed, the DNS zone is created, and the nameservers are configured.
## Practical guidance
After payment, the order moves through registration and DNS onboarding. IaGenify submits the request to the registrar; once the registrar confirms it, the service creates the DNS zone, configures the registrar nameservers, and attaches the domain to the account that placed the order. These are distinct steps, which is why the order status is useful after checkout.
Open the domain or order page to follow progress rather than repeating the purchase if setup is still underway. Check that you are viewing the purchasing account, since the domain is attached there. Once onboarding advances, use the domain's DNS settings for the records needed by your services.
