# Can it delete my data?
Database writes are intentionally guarded at more than one point.

Databases

## What this means in practice
Even in Auto, a write asks for your approval; unsafe empty filters or missing SQL WHERE clauses are rejected before approval can be requested.
DROP is available only in Full access, so inspect the exact operation before allowing it.
## Practical guidance
Database changes are guarded because a broad write can affect many records. Even in Auto mode, a write requires your approval. Unsafe empty filters and SQL statements without a WHERE clause are rejected before an approval request is shown, and DROP is available only in Full access. These checks reduce accidental destructive operations, but they do not replace careful review.
When you see a write approval, inspect the exact operation, target, and selection condition. Confirm that the filter limits the intended records and that the change matches your request. For SQL, check the WHERE clause and the table name; for NoSQL, check the filter and collection. If the proposed change is broader than expected, decline it and ask for a narrower query. Treat Full access with particular care because it enables operations that are otherwise unavailable. [← Back to Databases FAQs](https://help.iagenify.com/faqs/databases)
