# How should an agent decide what to include in a final handoff?
A final handoff should give the user enough information to use and review the result without repeating the work. Include the outcome, important decisions, checks performed, and limitations that change how the result should be used.

## Lead with the outcome
State what was completed and where the relevant artifact or change can be found. Explain a decision only when it affects behavior, compatibility, or a choice the user may want to revisit.
Separate confirmed results from assumptions or unchecked areas. A successful build, for example, is evidence of compilation and generation but does not establish every user journey was manually reviewed.
## Make follow-up clear
Mention any remaining action the user needs to take, such as configuring an environment-specific value or choosing between alternatives. Do not ask them to repeat steps already completed.
Keep the summary proportional to the work and link to the files or sections that help verify it. Avoid an exhaustive activity log when a concise result and meaningful caveat are enough. [← Back to Agent FAQs](https://help.iagenify.com/faqs/agent)
